With a good conscience our only sure reward, with history the final judge of our deeds, let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking His blessing and His help, but knowing that here on earth Cod’s work must truly be our own.” —John F. Kennedy, Inaugural Address, 1/20/1961

God is a fish! (Cod’s work instead of God’s work . . . it is easy to slip by the typo.)

PS It was not Kennedy’s typo.

    • Yeah, knowing what we know now, that is a little hard to take. But it is refreshing to have a pol talking about the better angels of our nature instead of blaming the immigrants.

    • LOL! Yeah, kind of like getting smacked in the face with a wet fist. The whole value of swear words is having them shock or offend one’s audience. Actually, that is not true, now, it has been discovered that swearing when injured reduces the amount of pain felt! Yea, swearing!

      • I dispute that discovery. It hasn’t helped my pain at all. 😣

        • Maybe we need to work on your swearing. :o)

Oh, and results may vary. (The lawyers insisted I put that in.)
