The Sequester Blame Game: Stupid, Stupid, Stupid

The GOP is trying to make the case that the Democrats, and President Obama specifically, are to blame for any damage to the economy done by the Sequester.

Duh! Large indiscriminant cuts are being made to government spending. Who do you think is in favor of such things?

A. Republicans
or
B. Democrats

Stupid, stupid, stupid.

  1. If the republican hate the sequester so much, there’s an easy solution for them: vote to repeal it. Of course, it’s not as much fun as voting 30 times to repeal Obamacare.

    • You can see what they’re thinking: It’s highly productive to waste time attempting to repeal an act when it’s impossible for them to do so.

      • Actually wasting time is the plan. History tells us that second term presidents have less than a year to accomplish anything of note. If we bang about on these manufactured issues for that long they will have effectively blocked the president from getting anything worthwhile done.

        • True; I did observe that Obama is in an unenviable situation: he cannot have a full majority in both Houses until at least November 2014, by which time the Lame Duck effect will rapidly be setting in. It’s not good to watch.
