Why Even Trump Doesn’t Believe in the Stolen Election Claim

I can conclude the above from the simple fact that Trump declared ahead of time that if he lost, it could only be because of voter fraud. Inquiring minds would want to know things like “How could Mr. Trump have known this to be true?” and “How could anyone know that this were true?” but our so-called news media didn’t pick up on this, they were too busy rubbing their hands over the visions of profits dancing in their heads from all of the craziness to report upon.

Allow me to use a scenario to explain why Mr. Trump’s declaration being ahead of time being telling. The scenario is a Sunday night poker game at your neighbor’s house. One game, your neighbor had some out-of-town relatives in  who got seats at the table. All night long, the newcomers seemed to win most of the pots and all you did was lose. The next day while you were at work, bemoaning your luck at the game you realized that your neighbor’s relatives were card sharps and you just got taken in a crooked game.

That is a somewhat normal expectation as to how things would go.

Now consider this. Before that Sunday game, you got a phone call from your neighbor explaining his out-of-town relatives were card sharps and had been run out of another town for their activities. He told you that the game would be rigged, so if you came and played, you should expect to lose. He was calling because his reputation for running a fair game was at stake and he didn’t want to lose his neighbor as a friend.

So, would you play? No? Yes?

You would play only if you were a complete idiot. After your money was lost, complaints to law enforcement officials might get the card sharps run out of town, but it wouldn’t get your money back.

So, Mr. Trump is claiming that that election was rigged against him and he went ahead and played anyway. Were he a true believer, he would have decried the rigged election and given the inside evidence he had that it was so to the election authorities, so that a fair election could be had.

This, of course, was not what happened. Mr. Trump lost quite handily, then whined about losing, then claimed victory, then election fraud and filed lawsuits, made claims of interference, etc. none of which actually played out in court. These are the actions of someone who knew he was going to lose and wanted to have excuses why that was so. Only a sucker would say, “The American people have chosen” and then ride off into the sunset.

Now it seems that he is coming back for another round, which is the equivalent of taking a seat at a known crooked poker game a second time, and making the same kinds of claims as he did before, also ahead of time.

Donald Trump is not smart enough to be the Mafia Boss his actions suggest him to be. His idea of a protection racket is an ego protection racket, guaranteed to not make him any money nor win him enough votes.

Equally stunning is how many Republican leaders willingly follow along in this farce.

  1. Good post. But I wonder … if the “system” is as rigged as he claims, why does he think it will run any better if he competes in the next Presidential election? Or am I missing something?

        • Well, you are indeed “in tha know” of my situation and speak accurately of not being “TOO stressed out” implying that there is sufficient stress… to put it very mildly and honestly NOT the full, truthful picture/extent. 😟 I mean, one only needs to know that I am now caring for my Mom full-time deep in the abyss of hardcore (central) Texas radical Republican politics, culture, and radical tRump-based support—dealing with, confronting it, tolerating it (barely)… every single effin day Nan. My hypertension & blood-pressure are most definitely way up now. 😓

Nevertheless Nan, thank you for your well wishes/thoughts. And OF COURSE you deserve compliments Ma’am. In fact, you likely deserve a lot more than you get. 🥰😉

    • My point exactly, unless he thinks he knows how to jimmy the system himself.

This is a classic case of psychological projection. The only people who think that electrons can be rigged are people who have considered rigging elections. This is Trump’s rigging scheme. He is just too stupid to come up with something that would work.

Still, the amazing thing is that none has had the balls to stand up and tell people that “Trump was a con man, a con man with a good message, one that you personally support . . . blah, blah, blah. Don’t trust a con man to do the job that needs to be done, trust me.” Heck, I can write the campaign myself. Get all of the Trump voters to swing your way and then pick up some moderates and independents and Bob’s your uncle.

It is. But then again it isn’t as well.

The two options, answers, explanations to your simple, logical rhetorical question are…

    1) — That are either too dim-witted to comprehend their illogical farcical thinking, or in conscious, willing total denial of it which speaks volumes of their own integrity to do so.

    2) — They cannot possibly think on their own and require—as if quadriplegic children in wheel-chairs—Trump’s dictatorship to tell them when to go to the bathroom, or they lack any spine to stand up to his completely bogus pathology and backroom threats if they publicly oppose him or privately won’t concede to him; i. e., they FEAR HIM like the plague.

Am I missing anything regarding HOW to deal with another Authoritarian Dictator of the most wicked kind? Huh? 😉

  3. I’m not stunned at all that so many are following his lead. They are, frankly, terrified. Not of him, though. They are terrified that people will find out that they haven’t a clue as to how to fix anything. During what’s his name’s tenure in office almost every single one of their major policy efforts failed. They were going to show China who was boss, and ended up making China more dangerous than ever. They were going to replace the Affordable Care Act with, well, something, we don’t know what because no one ever presented a plan to replace it. In the end they actually made the ACA more popular than ever. They were going to “fix” the problem of Iran trying to develop nuclear capabilities. They failed spectacularly. They were going to “fix” North Korea. And failed spectacularly. They were going to fix the immigration problem, and ended up creating such a huge scandal and so much outrage they had to backpedal frantically.

The only way they can keep appearing to be relevant and important is to follow along blindly and let what’s his name keep ranting and raving and trying to keep their voting base so outraged that they won’t notice that they have ultimately accomplished nothing that they promised and that the major plank in their party’s platform is turn the US into a country ruled by whoever has the most money to throw at them
