Independent IG’s and a shared belief in the Rule of Law are what our democracies ride upon. Nothing else. Trump has destroyed both.

I would consider them the guard rail of democracies. Trump has made it easier to drive right off the road … which is consistent with his deregulation efforts.
I can hardly wait for the “tell all books” five years from now that will detail Trump’s contributions to any of the “achievements” of his administration. So far, it seems that the vast majority of “his ideas” have gone nowhere, so what is getting done is old GOP fantasy lists of “things to do if we ever get the chance.”

What you don’t count the Executive Orders signed with a Sharpie (so people could see on television who had signed it)? I don’t recall a single other president holding up an EO to show his signature on it. What a fucking loon!
