We Don’t Need Regulators, Corporations Would Never Do Anything to Harm Their Reputations

The Big Lie is a lie so obviously untrue that people would not accept it unless it became “common knowledge” which it does if the BL is repeated over and over and over.

We have been told by the “De-Regulators” that all of these regulations and regulators are unnecessary, that “The Market™” will take care of all of the bad actors. And, certainly major corporations would never, ever do anything to harm their reputations.

How many times do we need to see this is not only not true, but very, very false?

  1. It’s so frustrating listening to these people claiming that if only we’d just remove all the rules and regulations everything would be just fine because these corporations/banks/companies/whatever would never do anything to hurt us. The reason those rules and regulations were put in place in the first place was because those entities have proven beyond any shadow of a doubt that they can’t be trusted.

  2. Anything goes, so long as it bulks up the bottom line. Profits are king.
I’d say this is one of the major reasons we see the US military using drones and investigating the use of more/other robotic weapons systems. The youth of ‘Merikkka are obese and way too dependent on drugs, prescription and street varieties. And some I know wonder why I am so damn happy to be at the end stage of this life.

  3. We do not trust people to regulate themselves, but, remember, corporations are people too.

    • Prior to the recent SCOTUS ruling, corporations were only “people” so that they could die.
