If you believe stupid stuff, it makes you do stupid stuff.

Here is the story (Man killed on remote Indian island tried to ‘declare Jesus’ to tribe) of a missionary who couldn’t hear his God saying “You know, I don’t think this is a good idea.”

  1. Which part of “Please just keep it to yourself” do they not understand?

  2. Well now, it seems that not all people want to hear this supposed ‘good news’ after all. Hey, it’s amazing! I’m not alone in this world, that remote tribe is just like me, buy into Jesus/religion if you want, but let me believe as I wish.
Do they still give out those Darwin Awards? This guy should get one. Yeah, OK, that does sound mean, but I’m not feeling all that perky just now, so there.

    • I resonate to the response an American indian made to a question. He basically said, “When the White Man came, we had the land and he had the Bible. Now we have the Bible and he has the land.” As I said, a con.

  3. And what makes this all the more tragic is the “Christians” all think he was doing a good thing. The fact that he got KILLED in the process just means he was a martyr. What a sick, sick way of looking at life.

    • Yeah, the poor schleb got killed for bothering people who said, very, very clearly that they didn’t want to be bothered. Maybe we need to take the same approach with all of the door-to-door proselytizers.

      • That is exactly what I was thinking. At least 3-4 times a year I get the knock on the door from the pie eyed imbeciles. To this point I have been quite abrupt in my non interest of their gobbledygook nonsense, Hell if I had known I could put some arrows in their butts I ‘d have been doing that a long time ago. 😉

  4. Let’s hope some “authorities ” don’t go to the island and really mess things up. Also think of foreign germs he may have brought to this little island. This stuff makes me sick..this constant twisted need for these idiots to prosthelytize and stick their fantasies where they aren’t wanted or needed for that matter.

    • The nuttiness is off the charts on this one!

What Christians need to realize — and ACCEPT — is that not everyone believes as they do … and when they cross the line into forbidden territory (and not just geographical), they have absolutely NO justification to cry about the consequences.

  5. Callme old fashioned, but I actually read the link to this story. These people he was killed by even shoot arrows at Indian Air Force helicopters. Sounds to my aged ears they value, very much so, being left on their own, NO outsiders wanted nor allowed.
