Making It Up As You Go … Poorly

The President’s Press Secretary said, in response to the Syrian chemical weapon episode, that “Hitler didn’t even sink to using chemical weapons.” Apparently he had never heard of the Holocaust in which Nazi Germany executed 6,000,000+ Jews and other “undesirables” often using toxic gases (aka chemical weapons).

The President himself then said that US relations with Russia may be at “an all-time low.” He apparently never heard of the Cold War.

I understand “making it up as you go” but this should not extend to obvious facts of history. Making up a new past is a common activity of politicians, but to do it this poorly is appalling.

    • LOL! Thanks, Nan! Shamed to say, it seems as all adolescent boys imagine doing this (I did.). But we are also taught manners and boundaries and, if raised correctly, respect for others. Why god created men to be so horny, only He can say. (Claudia tells me that there were men who weren’t but they didn’t live long enough to pass on their genes, so we are stuck with men being boorish pussy grabbers.)

It is a sad state we are in. There are planetwide signs of many good things happening. People living in poverty have been massively reduced. There is less per capita violence than ever before. There are signs that men are becoming feminized at a more rapid rate (testosterone levels are declining–probably a very good thing), etc. But these get no attention ’cause we got us a pussy-grabber in the White House … yeee, haw!
