Republicans Admit to Schizophrenia

While Republicans launch Social Darwinist attack after Social Darwinist attack on the poor and middle class (“if you are poor, it is your fault,” opposing a higher minimum wage, opposing extending unemployment benefits for the long-term unemployed, “takers and makers,” etc.) they continue to insist that their political candidates state their unbelief in evolution, that is actual Darwinism.

So, which is it GOP, are you Darwinists . . . or not?

  1. It has been proven beyond doubt that most poverty in Western Civilization is a result of values.

The rich, the middle class and the poor all have different values.

Change your values, change your status.

That is what made America great.

Before America, if you were born poor, chances are you’d die poor.

It has also been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that the minimum wage is an economic negative and only serves the political careers of demagogues.

Further, it has been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that extending unemployment benefits extends unemployment.

Why are atheists or leftists ever interested in proof that their ideas are complete malarkey?

    • Amazing! You say the min wage is a proven evil, yet 600 economists signed a letter to the President saying that changes in the min wage have very little effect on employment but do affect those in poverty (the working poor) positively. You have an interesting idea of what proof “beyond a shadow of doubt” is my friend.

And you say “values” drive this? What about the values of the employers who have accepted the workers large increases in productivity for the ppast 30 years but did not reward that increase with greater wages (the way the “market” is supposed to work) but kept the money created by those large increases in productivity for themselves. What value might that be, uh, oh, yes–we call it greed or maybe selfishness. Is that the value the poor are supposed to cultivate to relieve their poverty?

      • Steven,

98% of scientists supposedly believe in the global warming hoax and no one in medicine or psychiatry dare admit that homosexuality is a disorder even though it’s obvious that it is.

Your numbers are bogus just like President Obama’s promise that we can all keep our insurance plans and doctors under ObamaCare, and President Clinton’s proclamation that he, “did not have sex with that woman, Monica Lewinsky. Not a single time.”

The math showing that the minimum wage is an economic catastrophe is irrefutable, except to atheists and leftists who don’t care about proof.

        • So basically, anyone who disagrees with you is deluded? Okay, I’ll go with that: I think you are deluded. There, now were even and we can stop this useless interchange.

          • Steve,

Anyone who disagrees with what is proven is deluded.

That means atheists, leftists and postmodern Christians who think God created the universe in six days.

      • Woody,

I taught school in various poverty stricken areas.

I took heathen young men and women on their way to catastrophic life failure and turned them into leaders who possessed razor intellects.

You can’t tell me the sky is green when I’ve been outside and seen that the sky is blue.
