How Did We Get Into This Mess?

I have written extensively on the class war that was waged (and is still being waged) by the wealthy and their minions that resulted in the extreme wealth and income gaps we now have. Part of the problem has come from flat out misconceptions that fostered more greed than was strictly necessary. To help understand this I recommend to you this post from the author of “Econned” Yves Smith: The Myth of Maximizing Shareholder Value.

  1. The “wealth gap” is a leftist fiction meant to destabilize society by instilling a strong sense of injustice in the hearts of common people.

Tyranny is what causes the “wealth gap.”

Free market capitalism is the answer to the wealth gap as it gives everyone the opportunity to get filthy rich.

  2. Yves is a savvy market analyst and an astute economist. I trust her more than I do Paul Krugman and that’s saying quite a bit

    • Was that an attempt at a “first strike” on SOM. I am afraid that boy isn’t playing with a full deck, if you know what I mean. His elevator doesn’t go to the top floor, he’s a couple of plate settings shy of a full service.

How are things in Texas? It’s colder than a well digger’s ass here in Chicago.

      • I think that well digger would come to the same conclusion here in North Texas. It was 15 degrees this morning with a wind-chill of 5. It just did make it above freezing a little after 1pm.

I was just giving SOM what I assume he wants when he comes to sites like this – badly needed attention from someone other than the voices in his head.

    • Paul Krugman is a crack pot who wouldn’t know economics if it came up and gave him a Judas kiss on the cheek.

          • Well he does claim to have Jesus on his side. But the question then becomes would a merciful Jesus make such a disparaging remark about someone he really doesn’t know? 😉
